Rutgers Defeats Texas Southern in Homecoming Blowout 42-0 Saturday

My Wife and I had a great time attending the homecoming blowout of Texas Southern yesterday. Texas Southern had no chance or scoring or moving the ball the entire game. They had negative yards rushing and threw for 151 yards. Rutgers RB Joe Martinek rushed for 2 touchdowns in the 1st half and looked good doing it on tough running. The Scarlet Knights as a team rushed for 253 yards where they couldn’t be stopped. The scored could have been higher where in the 1st quarter a field goal attempt hit the left upright. The Scarlet Knights are the only major Division I NCAA football team in the area and is worth the trip to see them in action. There are three more Rutgers home games this season and host Pittsburgh this Friday night. Rutgers Stadium is easy to get to. Take Exit 9 off of Interstate 287 then drive a few local miles where parking is setup near the RAC (basketball arena). Buses shuttle everyone to the stadium from the RAC parking lot.
