The Rangers won last night on brilliant goaltending by Henrik Lundqvist once again. The Maple Leafs played strong hockey in the first two periods scoring first in each but the Rangers outscored them. The Leafs crashed the net and into Lundqvist three times but he played like The King. This followed the same type of play this past week at the Garden. Brandon Dubinsky scored the first Ranger goal late in the 1st period. Marc Stall scored the 2nd goal early in the 2nd period. Michael Del Zotto, playing in front of lots of family and friends, scored a power play goal for the third Ranger score. Enver Lisin scored the 4th goal early in the 3rd period. Sniper Marian Gaborik added 2 assists. Prospal, Redden, Rozsival and Dubinsky also added assists. The Blueshirts had 6 good penalty kills. Lundqvist stopped 34 of 35 shots including 6 on the Leafs’ power play and 1 shorthanded shot. The Leafs fans are nuts and yelled “O and 7” (their record is really 0-6-1). I love it! The three stars of the game were Henrik Lundqvist, Marc Staal and Ian White.
