Jayson Williams is the sixth inductee into my Hall of Shame. The former New Jersey Net star was sentenced today to five years in prison for the fatal shooting of chauffer, Costas Christofi, at his home in Alexandria Township, NJ in 2002. Williams tried to cover-up the shooting to prosecutors. It is a real shame that he chose this life as the sky was the limit when he played at Christ the King High School and St. John's University, both in Queens, NYC.
- On January 5, 2010 Williams drove his SUV into a tree on the FDR Drive in Manhattan. He was later charged with DWI
- As reported by the New York Daily News in April 2009 Williams was in found in a Manhattan hotel room with empty pill bottles and suicide notes on the floor. His friend called 911. When the NYPD arrived Williams refused transport to the hospital and shot with a taser gun. He needed two sets of handcuffs
- A month after the Manhattan hotel room taser incident he was arrested for allegedly punching a man outside a bar in North Carolina
- In his biography Loose Balls, Williams confessed to nearly accidently shooting former New York Jets wide receiver Wayne Chrebet at a shooting range
