Rangers Defeat Hated Devils 3-2 at Prudential Center Monday

The New York Rangers defeated their hated rival New Jersey Devils at the Rock on Monday. At the first intermission the score was tied 2-2. The Blueshirts scored on two power play goals scored by Michael Del Zotto and Ales Kotalik, who was brought in for his big shot on the PP. Defenseman Matt Gilroy scored his first NHL goal last in the 2nd period for the game winner. Very late in the 3rd period the Rangers iced the puck three times in a row as the Devils kept the pressure on. Henrik Lundqvist won his 2nd game of the year, stopping 25 of 27 shots against. The Rangers visit the Capitals for their first game against Alex Ovechkin which hopes to be a good one. Can’t wait for the Staal/Ovie Show.
