The nightmare season continues for the Metropolitans. Tim Redding pitched another great game deserving the win but instead gets nothing for his work. Redding gave up 1.0 earn run on 4 hits (HR), 1 walk with 2 strikeouts in 6.0 innings. With the Mets up 4-2 going into the bottom of the ninth a win looked in the bag. The Nationals brought 7 to the plate and scored 5 off of closer Francisco Rodriguez (K-Rod) for the win. Two singles, sac but, 2nd and 3rd with one out. Walk to load the bases. K-Rod gets a strikeout for the second out. Walk forces in a run then bam, a walk off grand slam.
