Rangers Defeat Capitals 4-3 as Gaborik Leads Way with 2 Goals Wednesday

The Rangers defeated the Capitals 4-3 in Washington last night. Sniper Marian Gaborik had 2 huge goals to lead the Rangers. I’d love to see the second alternate captain “A” be sewn on Gaborik’s jersey. He scored back to back goals in the middle of the 3rd period to tie then give the Rangers the lead 4-3. Hearing Gaborik after the game say the first goal was lucky and the second was off a nice feed from Del Zotto. I love his talent and the way he approaches the game. Ales Kotalik and Marc Stall had terrific games as well. Michal Rozsival was brutal and sat out the 3rd period as punishment for giving up the puck that led to the Caps’ first goal. Ryan Callahan scored an amazing goal in the 2nd period. He was killing a 4 on 3 as Rozsival came out of the penalty box. He made a great move to beat Theodore. I don’t know where the energy came from. Henrik gave up a soft goal shot from the neutral zone but was solid down the stretch. Great penalty kill, kept Ovechkin from scoring, big win. Chris Drury was on the power play, too.
