The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs defeated the Somerset Patriots 10-4 last night in Game 2 of the Atlantic League Championship Series. The Blue Crabs exploded for 5 runs in the top of the 3rd and Patriots couldn’t keep up. The Patriots left too many men on base and the relief pitching let them down. The Blue Crabs scored 4 runs in the top of the 8th to clinch the win. It was a great night at the ballpark and our last of the season. The best of 5 series is tied 1-1 and moves to Southern Maryland for the next three possible games. They’re scheduled for Saturday, Sunday and if necessary Monday nights.
