Jets Defeat Raiders in Rout 38-0 at Oakland Coliseum Sunday

The Jets routed the Raiders Sunday afternoon in Oakland for a big win. They had lost 3 games in a row and needed to get back on track. The biggest loss for the team was RB Leon Washington being helped off the field after getting injured early. The defense dominate the Raiders all game. Raider QB JaMarcus Russell is truly an awful NFL quarterback and was benched. What a complete waste of money for this guy. Maybe John Madden can come back and teach him how to play QB. The crowd was the smallest since the Raiders return from LA in 1995 and Russell still heard loud boos as he took his seat. Russell took no responsibility for his play in his post game comments. He’s totally lost. The Jets converted 2 Russell turnovers from the Raider 4 yard line into touchdowns. Mark Sanchez went 9 of 15 for 143 yards with 1 touchdown. Rookie RB Shonn Greene came in for the injured Washington and had a terrific game, 19 carries for 144 yards with 2 touchdowns. Thomas Jones also had a great game, 26 carries for 121 yards with 1 touchdown. WR David Clowney had 4 catches for 79 yards with 1 touchdown. The Jets host Miami at the Meadowlands this Sunday at 1:00 PM.
