Two Mets and Six Yankees Going to All-Star Game this Season Scheduled for Tuesday, July 13th

There will be two Mets and six Yankees going to the All-Star Game next Tuesday at Angel Stadium. The Mets will send David Wright who will start at third base for the National League and Jose Reyes as a reserve. The Yankees will send two starters for the American League; Robinson Cano at second base and Derek Jeter at shortstop. The Yankees will also send four reserves; Alex Rodriguez (aka A-Roid), Mariano Rivera, Phil Hughes and C.C. Sabathia. Can anyone tell me why Yankee Andy Pettitte, who is 10-2 with a 2.82 ERA and Met Mike Pelfrey, who is 10-2 with a 2.93 ERA are not on the rosters? There has been a lot of discussion about the young rookie pitcher Stephen Strasburg not making the team for the National League. He hasn’t pitched enough to warrant a spot on the roster this year. Charlie Manuel, the Phillies skipper will manage the National League this year. Manuel not placing Pelfrey on the National League roster is a complete joke. When asked about it Pelfrey just wishes he had the chance to go so he could sit with his kid to watch the game. It seems like I’m more annoyed at him not making the team then he is.
