Thursday, July 22nd Installment of What’s Up Jerry?

The “team player” named Jeff Francoeur wants out of New York since he’s been riding the pine. Everything I heard about this guy is that he’s a team player, until it affects him. I can understand the fact that he’s been a starter in the outfield since Little League and this may affect his future in Major League baseball. The reality is that he stinks at the plate and needs to get more discipline to earn playing time. Right now the Mets need to field the best team they can and that means keeping Angel Pagan on the field. In fact let’s put Carlos Beltran in right field or left to give the underachieving Jason Bay a day off and put Angel back in center field. Bay’s 6 home runs are just awful. This team needs to get back to winning 2-of-3 from opposing teams if they want to play serious October baseball.
