Rangers Lose Third Preseason Game 4-3 to Red Wings in Detroit Saturday

The Rangers lost last night 4-3 to the Red Wings in Detroit. The Russian line of Artem Anisimov-Evgeny Grachev-Enver Lisin looked good again. Now I can see why Nicky Zherdev is no longer a Blueshirt. The line of Donald Brashear-Brian Boyle-Aaron Voros forechecked liked crazy and crashed the net. Michal Rozsival was not exactly in mid-season form and I’m sure Torts isn’t thrilled. Henrik Lundqvist started in goal and stopped all 14 shots faced in a little more then half the game. Matt Zaba took over and stopped 15 of 19 shots. I saw Ilkka Heikkinen and Paul Crowder play Wednesday at the Rock when Hartford defeated Lowell. Last night was their first game for the Rangers and both played well.
