Mets Look to Keep From Getting Swept

The Mets lost last night 5-2 in another lacklustre offensive team effort. Tim Redding pitched very well again, certaintly well enough to win but got no run support. He gave up 2 earned runs on 7 hits, 1 walk and 6 strikeouts. Brian Stokes who's been one of the huge brightspots this year gave up 3 runs in the 8th to blow it for the Mets.

They just got under way at Coors Field now. David Wright is not wearing the Great Gazoo helmet but I wish he would. He's the franchise and unfortunately a target as well.

Pitcher Pat Misch is winless in his MLB career and catcher Josh Thole is making his first MLB start.
