John Tavares, the #1 overall pick in this years draft by the New York Islanders made his Nassau Coliseum debut last night in their only preseason game in Uniondale. Tavares had an assist early in the 3rd period on a power play goal scored by Matt Moulson to tie the game 2-2. It was scored on former Islander goalie Yann Danis. The Devils went on to defeat the Islanders 4-2. Tavares is the the real deal the Islander fans have been waiting for.
