Rangers Defeat Bruins 5-2 to Win First Preseason Game Saturday

The Rangers won their first preseason game in Boston today 5-2. Stephen Valiquette started in goal and stopped 12 of 14 shots and Chad Johnson finished stopping all 14 shots he faced. Johnson has played very well but was assigned to the Hartford Wolf Pack after the game along with G Matt Zaba, D Ilkka Heikkinen, D Corey Potter and F Paul Crowder. The roster needs to be trimmed by two more players by the end of training camp. Goals were scored by Artem Anisimov, Pierre Parenteau, Ales Kotalik, Sean Avery and Enver Lisin. I love the play of Anisimov and Lisin and hope to see them playing on the same line. A good win, even if only the preseason.
