Jeter is New Yankees Hit King

Derek Jeter became the new Yankee Hit King in the 10-4 Loss to the Orioles at Yankee Stadium. Jeter went 2 for 4, 1 RBI, 1 strikeout. His 2,722nd hit came in the 3rd inning with a single down the rightfield line. He is an excellent inside-out hitter who's made a career of hitting to the short side and going the other way. He said he was humbled when his teammates came out of the dugout. The crowd gave him a loud well deserved standing ovation. Let the Jeter collectible auctions begin!
