The Rangers lost last night 4-3 to the Red Wings in Detroit. The Russian line of Artem Anisimov-Evgeny Grachev-Enver Lisin looked good again. Now I can see why Nicky Zherdev is no longer a Blueshirt. The line of Donald Brashear-Brian Boyle-Aaron Voros forechecked liked crazy and crashed the net. Michal Rozsival was not exactly in mid-season form and I’m sure Torts isn’t thrilled. Henrik Lundqvist started in goal and stopped all 14 shots faced in a little more then half the game. Matt Zaba took over and stopped 15 of 19 shots. I saw Ilkka Heikkinen and Paul Crowder play Wednesday at the Rock when Hartford defeated Lowell. Last night was their first game for the Rangers and both played well.Saturday, September 19, 2009
