Below are all transactions the Mets have had in the past two months (as reported on mets.com. What’s glaringly missing: a real catcher, a real first baseman and a real #2 starting pitcher. Omar has a plan, but does he have a clue? I am a diehard Met fan but sometimes it is really tough to like this team. That certainly helps when the season is six months plus playoffs if you’re so lucky. One ironic thing is that in 2002 Montreal Expos GM Omar Minaya (aka Nomore Goodbya) traded Jason Bay and Jimmy Serrano to the Mets for Lou Collier. Four months later Mets GM Steve Phillips traded Jason Bay in a package deal to the Padres for two guys that didn’t amount to anything for the Mets. Good job Steve!

Does anyone feel a buzz or any excitement about the mets?!?! i feel bad for david wright - with beltran out and no real hitters - jose will get on base and david will be left with nothing to hit again this year.
ReplyDeleteI can see Wright hitting .310, but may be in No Man's Land in the middle of that lineup. I hope they don't lead the NL in total team strikeouts. He needs to hit with power again.
