Islanders Defeat Red Wings 6-0 at Coliseum in Rare Meeting Tuesday

The New York Islanders have played much better hockey this season and kicked the Red Wings’ tails last night 6-0. The Isles are just out of the playoffs as the tiebreaker is keeping them at 10th in the Eastern Conference but they’re on a roll and will continue to bring back the fans. It was good seeing the Red Wings get blown out The three stars, all Islanders were Dwayne Roloson, Mark Streit and Rob Schremp. Last week I helped a young Swiss couple with directions from Penn Station to SoHo. The young man asked if Mark Streit was still with the Rangers. I told him that Streit’s an Islander and he’s tough and playing well for them, as I just saw him smash the Rangers around at the Garden the week before.
