I’ll keep up with a few of the notable comings and goings of the local NHL teams:

DEVILS
ILYA KOVALCHUK – nothing yet on the recent offer

ISLANDERS
DOUG WEIGHT – veteran center and captain signs extension with Isles – he’s a good player, a smart move by the Islanders

RANGERS
MARC STAAL – nothing yet but Glen Sather (aka The Savior) said he will match any offer sheet from any NHL team – I wish they’d just extend his contract already
TIM KENNEDY – second-year LW is on his way to Broadway from Buffalo
