The Jets defense will have to step up big time against the Ravens and hated Patriots (aka Cheaters) without outside linebacker Calvin Pace and cornerback Darrelle Revis, assuming Revis doesn’t end his holdout with the team. One thing that can’t happen is a 0-2 record to start the 2010 season or 1-3 with three of those games against division rivals. Hopefully Pace will only miss 2 or so games as head coach Rex Ryan said yesterday that the procedure on Pace’s broken right foot went better than expected. This is great news for Gang Green as Pace was the sack leader last year on a team that wasn’t exactly getting to the quarterback in 2009. Talks with Adalius Thomas as a stopgap solution to Pace being out 4 to 6 weeks as originally anticipated have come to a grinding halt. Let’s hope Calvin get’s back on the field soon.
