The Somerset Patriots won in grand fashion last night 3-2 over the Bridgeport Bluefish on a walk off home run by DH Josh Pressley and was his second homer of the game. The game was tied 1-1 in the 4th inning when the Patriot center fielder Lydon was turned around on a deep ball that resulted in a triple that scored the runner on first to give the Bluesfish the 2-1 lead. In the bottom of the 7th Pressley turned on the ball and hit a line drive “Lance Berkman (who’s now a Yankee, ugh!) Type Home Run” over the file field fence to tie the game 2-2. As Pressley came up in the bottom of the 9th, with his patented Johnny Cash song blaring over the PA again, I thought it’d be great that he hit another homer to give the Patriots the win. Sure enough he did just that on a shot that went way over both right field fences high into the night. It was a Major League type shot that sent up home ecstatic as a fun time was had by all.
