FREDDY MEYER – left to sign with Atlanta Thrashers – Islanders stocking up on defensemen so Meyer was expendable
RANGERS
MARC STAAL – nothing to report on extending the restricted free agent’s contract with the Blueshirts – I hope Glen Sather (aka The Savior) just pays him already
