Friday, May 14th Continued Thoughts on 2010 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs Thus Far

Knowing that Sidney (aka Cindy) Crosby and his Champion Penguins lost in Game 7 of the second round of the Playoffs to the Montreal Canadiens was absolutely exhilarating. I checked the score as we returned from the Red Bulls match Wednesday night and I almost fell off my seat. What a way to close that dump of an arena known as The Igloo. The Penguins open their new arena next season but they won’t be raising a Stanley Cup Champions banner again, fortunately! Crosby, Malkin and Staal were shadowed by Canadien players the entire series and stuffed. Montreal had unreal goaltending from Halak and the combination got Montreal to the Eastern Conference Finals beginning this Sunday. The Flyers (aka Effers) have done a great job coming back and forcing a Game 7 against the Bruins tonight in Boston. That game promises to be a barnburner. A final note on Sidney (aka Cindy) (as reported by NHL.com) was that he received a phone call from Mark Messier asking if he could join Team Canada and replace injured Ryan Smyth at the World Championships. Cindy declined, what a punk.
