Thoughts on Jets Offseason Moves Thus Far

Here are a few thoughts on the Jets wheeling and dealings thus far:
  • Cutting Thomas Jones to sign LaDainian Tomlinson for the same money and terms may backfire. TJ had toughness Tomlinson can’t even dream of and was respected by the fans and his teammates. I can’t call Tomlinson LT as there was only one LT and his name was Lawrence Taylor
  • Cutting Lito Sheppard and signing Antonio Cromartie will prove to be a good move. Cromartie cannot land on Page Six of the New York Post and must play nicely on Revis Island
  • Trading Kerry Rhodes for draft picks was a good move. Kerry was campaigning for the Pro Bowl on the Jet’s website during the season which was a complete joke. He played better after not starting but did not meet expectations
  • Signing Braylon Edwards was a good move. He’ll need to minimize his drops and become the first go to option for Mark Sanchez
  • Agreeing to be featured on HBO’s “Hard Knocks” next will hopefully be worth watching. Rex Ryan said if he gets down to 200 pounds he’ll challenge Mark Sanchez for those GQ issues. I hope they have more open practices this season as it was fun attending one last season
