Last week the New York Mets’ press release indicated that Jose Reyes has a thyroid imbalance and would require further testing. Reyes said on ESPN Deportes that he doesn’t have a thyroid problem, in direct contradiction with the Mets. What the hell is going on with this team? It appears that the star players are looking out for their own hides with no regard to the organization. I just hope Reyes gets in the lineup sometime this season before the All-Star break. Omar Minaya (aka Nomore Goodbya) hasn’t said much since last week. What is the over/under on the Reyes’ comeback? How many weeks will it take him to get in baseball shape? I hope to God it’s not a side effect of HGH. We will see.
