Rangers Could Use the Hanson Brothers

The New York Rangers are in dire need of offensive scoring and toughness in their defensive zone. I’m not happy that they will most assuredly miss the playoffs this year but at least I’ll save money on tickets for the Garden home games! The Hanson Brothers are a tad on the insanely dirty side so maybe they won’t be the right fit. Actually I don’t like dirty hockey players but miss the tough hockey played by the likes of Jeff Beukeboom and Adam Graves. A shutdown defensemen should be tops on the Blueshirts offseason shopping list. Wouldn’t it be great if we had Brooks Orpik for six years rather than Wade Redden (although Redden has been better this year vs. last, but come on now!). Sean Avery should be good to go tonight but Ryan Callahan may be scratched. Olli Jokinen is no longer on the power play and may center the 3rd line tonight. I guess he’s not that interested in playing in the Garden next year.
