The New York Mets defeated the hated Atlanta Braves 5-2 last night at Citi Field as Ike Davis hits his first Major League home run. Starting pitcher John Maine was brutal once again and only went 3.2 innings before getting pulled from the game. The bullpen kept the Mets in the game and Francisco Rodriguez earned his 2nd save of the season by pitching a scoreless 9th inning. Jose Reyes batted 3rd and went 2-for-4, with a run scored and struckout once. The series against Chipper Jones and the Braves continues this afternoon at Citi Field.
