The New York Mets closer Frankie Rodriguez (K-Rod) left Spring Training yesterday and returned to Venezuela. Reports indicate that his brother was in a serious car accident. Mets GM Omar Minaya (aka Nomore Goodbya) didn’t give any details of the situation but expects K-Rod to be with the team in New York by Opening Day. The New York Mets closer Frankie Rodriguez (K-Rod) left Spring Training yesterday and returned to Venezuela. Reports indicate that his brother was in a serious car accident. Mets GM Omar Minaya (aka Nomore Goodbya) didn’t give any details of the situation but expects K-Rod to be with the team in New York by Opening Day.
