The New Jersey Devils evened up the series 1-1 as they defeated the Philadelphia Flyers (aka Effers) 5-3 last night at the Prudential Center in Newark. Devils goalie Marty Brodeur was out of position on the first tip-in goal by the Effers and gave up two power play goals later in the game. The Devils had to defend a lot more shots on goal in the game compared to the first. The Devils offense came alive with goals by Zach Parise, Colin White, Andy Greene, Dainius Zubrus and an empty net goal by Ilya Kovalchuk to seal the deal. The nastiness came out in the 2nd and 3rd periods as the Effers tried to press but came up short. The series moves to the City of Brotherly Love Sunday night. The three starts of the game were all Devils: Dainius Zubrus, Patrik Elias and Zach Parise.
