Rangers Trimmed Training Camp Roster by 6 Players – Sign Former Islander and Penguin Forward Ruslan Fedotenko to One-Year Deal
The New York Rangers have trimmed their training camp roster by 6 more players to get down to 23 (which includes Chris Drury and Vinny Prospal who are injured) and may be ready for the start of the NHL season. The following players were assigned to Hartford Wolf Pack: Ryan McDonagh, Pavel Valentenko, Dale Weise and Mats Zuccarello. Two players were waived: Todd White and Tim Kennedy. Waiving both players was a planned move and done in case another player or two becomes available in the next day or two. The Rangers signed former Islander and Penguin forward Ruslan Fedotenko to a one-year deal. He’s played very well in the preseason and I think he’ll work out well. I’m still hoping to see a top line center in a Ranger jersey on the ice for opening night though.
