I’d love to see the New York Rangers become the Eastern Conference version of the Chicago Blackhawks; with a group of talented young players and a few key veteran stars playing as a team. Jim Dolan will have his hands full on July 1st with the LeBron James Sweepstakes but he can’t forget about the other team that plays in The Garden (and I don’t mean the Liberty). The Rangers need a few top line offensive players who can score and a shutdown defenseman or a top defensive pairing would be nice. I hope they at least take care of a few of their own now. I’ll post more on the Blueshirts tomorrow.

- Dan Girardi – restricted free agents, sign to two-year deal
- Brandon Prust – restricted free agent, sign to one or two-year deal
- Erik Christensen – restricted free agent, sign to one-year deal
- Vinny Prospal – unrestricted free agent, sign to another one-year deal
- Jody Shelley – unrestricted free agent, sign to one or two-year deal
