The Rutgers Scarlet Knights defeated the UConn Huskies 28-24 on Saturday afternoon on an 81 yard touchdown catch by WR Tim Brown with 22 seconds left in the 4th quarter. The Scarlet Knights led all the way up until just before Brown’s great play. Rutgers is now ranked #32 in the CBSSports.com 120 poll. Rutgers lost the rushing and passing battle but played hard to earn the win. Rookie QB Tom Savage went 13 of 24 for 236 yards with 3 touchdowns. WR Tim Brown had a monster day with 5 catches for 162 yards with 2 touchdowns. The Scarlet Knights next game is another Big East battle as they host #25 University of South Florida on Thursday, November 12th at Rutgers Stadium. ESPN will nationally televise the game.
